Jarrod Richey has been the music program director and director of choral activities teaching K4 through 12th grade general music and choir at Geneva Academy in West Monroe, LA since 2008. Previously, Mr Richey taught choir, voice, and music appreciation classes at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He received his bachelor's degree at Louisiana Tech University before completing his Masters of Music at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He also completed his national Kodály music teacher certification from Wichita State University. He is an active choir clinician and also serves on the board of the Louisiana chapters of the Organization of American Kodály Educators and the American Choral Directors Association. He is the author of "BACH to the Future: Fostering Music Literacy Today" a handbook for Christian parents and teachers on training our children in music. Jarrod and his lovely wife, Sarah, have four sons and two daughters (Arthur, Solomon, Elias, Samantha, Lydia, and Sebastian).
